Workplace Engineer
Mission Details :
* Location: Paris (3 days on-site)
* Start Date: ASAP (6-month renewable contract)

I am currently working with a leading IT Consultancy who is working in conjunction with a Leading Aerospace and Defence company in the search for a Workplace Engineer to work with them on a external basis.
The end client is a multinational corporation specializing in aerospace, defence, and security. They design, develop, and manufacture a wide range of products, including commercial and military aircraft engines, spacecraft and missile propulsion systems, and various other aerospace and military equipment.
Responsibilities:
The mission consists of:
Workstation Lifecycle Management
- Technical administration of the SCCM solution
- Evolution of master images (Windows 10, Windows 11)
- Deployment of functional updates (continuous upgrade)
- Evolution of hardware and drivers
- Provision of dashboards (deployment and fleet status)
- BIOS management (Dell)
Operational Maintenance of Workstation Services
- SCCM (handling object obsolescence and alert management)
- Active Directory
Cybersecurity
- Monitoring workstation security indicators and implementing necessary remediations to meet required thresholds.
OS Versions, Encryption (BitLocker and Zone Central), Patching, Antivirus, EDR:
- Providing management with security compliance monitoring dashboards (minimum security rules defined by the Aerospace Client).
- Handling alerts related to security vulnerabilities (system, applications, hardware).
- GPO (Creation, Modification, and Rationalization of workstation group policies).
Incident and Request Management
- Providing Level 3 support across the entire workstation ecosystem.
- Handling specific requests (ITSM) related to the Workplace scope (requests for upgrades/services from the catalog, etc.).
Contribution to IT System Evolution Projects
- Collaborating with various teams from the IT department and the central IT department
Sevrive Provider Delivarables:
The service provider is required to provide:
- Regular activity tracking in a format they will define, including an example document reflecting their approach. This must include a weekly activity report, which will be reviewed with the Aerospace Client representative.
- Reports either proactively initiated by the provider or requested by the Aerospace Client. These reports may be required in cases such as complex failure diagnostics, issues involving a complex organization, or audit requests for a technical infrastructure.
Required Skills :
- Significant experience as a Workstation Engineer.
- To successfully carry out this mission, the Aerospace Client specifies the required expertise level in the following areas:
- Windows 10, Windows 11, Office 365
- SCCM (Task Sequence & Master, Packaging & Software Center, SCCM Reporting + Power BI, etc.)
- Active Directory / GPO
- PowerShell (Packaging and industrialization)
- Level 3 support (entire workstation ecosystem)
- Scientific workstations (updates, optimization/configuration of drivers for scientific applications)
- Cybersecurity (antivirus, encryption: BitLocker, ZoneCentral, GPO, firewall)
