Job Description:
We are looking for a Linux System Infrastructure Engineer - Tech Lead to join our client's team for a 6-month
project based in either Paris or Aix-en-Provence, France. This freelance role involves overseeing and managing
Linux system infrastructures within a diverse and evolving technical environment. The candidate will act as a
technical lead, ensuring system stability, security, and efficiency while also contributing to automation and cloud-based initiatives..
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 3 technical support and serve as a key technical reference within the team.
- Deploy and manage high-value infrastructure projects.
- Define standards and maintain internal policies related to system administration.
- Implement operational procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Act as an interface between architects and external vendors.
- Conduct technology research and homologation to assess new solutions.
- Develop and enhance automation tools using Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.
- Lead internal projects, including system migrations, upgrades, and large-scale deployments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator (Ubuntu/Debian or RedHat/Fedora).
- Homologation & Validation: Experience testing and validating new infrastructure versions (e.g., VMware 8) for compatibility.
- Strong expertise in automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Packer for system configuration and VM management.
- Experience in hardening Linux systems for security and compliance.
- Deep understanding of open-source technologies and Linux-based IT environments.
- Familiarity with container management (Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift) is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead internal IT projects such as migrations, upgrades, and mass deployments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team.

- 15,000 physical and virtual servers primarily on Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- VMware virtualization including large-volume VMs
- Automation with Ansible, OpenShift, OpenNebula, ManageIQ, GIT
- Orchestration using OpenStack, Docker Swarm
- Infrastructure management with Katello Foreman, Lansweeper, vRealize
- Storage solutions including NetApp, Pure Storage, Huawei, EMC
- Backup technologies like Veeam, HP Data Protector, Commvault, DataDomain
- Middleware expertise in Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Nginx, DRBD, HA, Keepalive
- Database management with MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch
- Monitoring and supervision using Centreon, Zabbix
