Glocomms is partnered with a top electric service provider to bring on a highly skilled Senior Data Protection Analyst to lead their data protection initiatives. This role involves building and managing their data protection program, focusing on data loss prevention (DLP), cybersecurity, and data security. You will implement data encryption, classification, and monitoring strategies to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Respsonsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive data protection and DLP strategies.
- Lead cybersecurity efforts, including data encryption (e.g., TLS 1.3), data classification, and data monitoring.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage cyber governance and risk management processes.
- Monitor and respond to data exfiltration and misuse incidents.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF standards.
- Utilize IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint detection & response, and network access control tools for threat detection and incident response.
- Design and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Implement and manage automation tools to enhance data protection.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on data security and technical controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data protection measures with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of full time experience in data protection, cybersecurity, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST CSF).
- Experience with DLP technologies and tools (Proofpoint preferred), data encryption protocols, and data classification methods.
- Proficiency in IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint detection & response, and network access control.
- Proven ability to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CIPP) are a plus.
