Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated SMB Account Executive to drive sales growth within the small and medium-sized business (SMB) market. The ideal candidate will have experience selling Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solutions, with a strong preference for candidates who have expertise in Microsoft security solutions.
This role is a great opportunity for a driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping businesses enhance their cybersecurity posture. Candidates must be based in the Boston Area and have the ability to engage with prospects through virtual and in-person meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Hunt & Close New Business: Identify, qualify, and close new sales opportunities within the SMB market.
- Manage the Sales Cycle: Own the full sales process from prospecting to negotiation and closing.
- Leverage Microsoft Security Solutions: Effectively position our client's MDR services with a focus on Microsoft security technologies such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and related tools.
- Build Relationships: Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers, including CISOs, IT Directors, and business executives.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, sales engineering, and customer success teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
- Stay Ahead of Cybersecurity Trends: Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, competitor offerings, and our client's value proposition.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity sales, with a focus on MDR solutions.
- Microsoft Expertise: Experience selling Microsoft security solutions (e.g., Microsoft Defender, Sentinel) is highly preferred.
- Sales Skills: Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of cybersecurity challenges facing SMBs.
- Location: Must be based in the Boston Area.
- Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, conferences, and company events.
