PMO (Project Management Office) Manager

Overview:
I am assisting one of my leading clients in the Financial Sector who is in the search for a Freelance PMO to work with them on a remote basis.
As a PMO Manager, you will be responsible for the governance and oversight of project portfolios within the Workplace department, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals. You will lead the monitoring, reporting, and overall management of program and project business cases, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and standardization across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Steer the project portfolio governance of a global transformation program for the Workplace department, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Lead the monitoring and reporting of program and project business cases, including investment, roadmap, maturity level, efficiency savings, sign-off, and scope expansion. Develop and maintain standardized reports.
- To schedule and organize the different meetings with C-Level internal and external stakeholders.
- To write the minuets of all meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Systematically track project status, time tracking, actuals, budgets, forecast landings, KPIs, and trends to ensure projects are on track and within budget.
- Ensure program reporting consistency and alignment across multiple departments, fostering collaborative and effective communication.
- Animate steering committees, focusing on portfolio construction, securing funding, arbitration, prioritization, and risk assessment.
- Manage the existing request management process, serving as the focal point for escalation. Expand the product and service catalog, onboard new organizations, and train employees.
- Design and implement a demand management governance framework, including resource capacity planning to centralize requests, forecast workload, and plan accordingly.
Requirements:
- 4+ Years experience in a Large organization
- Proven experience in project portfolio governance within a global transformation program.
- Strong skills in monitoring and reporting of business cases, including investment and efficiency savings.
- Expertise in tracking project status, budgets, KPIs, and trends.
- Good Experience with Agile or waterfall methodologies
- Good experience with tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent ability to ensure reporting consistency and alignment across departments.
- Experience in facilitating steering committees and managing request processes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to design and implement demand management governance frameworks.
