Cybersecurity Specialist - Secret Clearance
Location: Alexandria, VA (Hybrid, 2x per week in person)
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Alexandria, VA. This role is a critical part of securing our nation's information systems and ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement system architecture and network security strategies to protect critical systems.
- Ensure compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and oversee Certification & Accreditation (C&A) processes.
- Manage COMSEC, TEMPEST, and other communications security programs.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and incident response.
- Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies to counter emerging threats.
- Conduct security assessments, audits, and ensure policy compliance with DoD standards, including FISMA.
- Utilize tools like Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) to manage cybersecurity processes.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including acquisition documents, failure reports, and fielding plans.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 20+ years in cybersecurity, information assurance, or a related field.
- Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Security+ (Sec+), or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong expertise in operational cybersecurity accreditation, embedded systems security, and systems engineering processes.
- Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with DoD standards such as AR 25-2 and Inspector General (IG) compliance.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight, provide mentorship, and lead cybersecurity initiatives.
